HOW TO CROCHET A STEM ROSE


LARGE PETALS



Row 1: Ch 4. 8 dc in first ch . Ch 1 turn

Row 2 : 1 dc in next 2 dc. 3 dc in each of  next 2 dc. 1 dc in next 3 dc, 1sc in last st, ch 1 turn

Row 3: 1 dc in  each of next 4 dc, 3 dc in each of  2 dc, 1 dc in ea of next 5 dc. 1sc in last st,  Ch 1 turn

Row 4: 1 dc in ea of next 6 dc, 3 dc in ea of next 2 dc, 1 dc in  next 7dc, 1sc in last st, Petal made. Fasten off. Make 5 more.


SMALL PETALS



Same as large but stopping at Row 3, (make 4).  Follow video tutorial to see how to attach the petals.



BASE OF THE ROSE

Using green yarn.

Row 1: Ch 6, 14 sc in ring, join with sl st to first sc.

Row 2: sc in each sc around and join with sl st in first sc.

Row 3: same as row 2.

Row 4: ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, 1 dc in next 4 sts, sk 2 ch and sl st in next ch, (first petal made) ch 8, repeat from, (5 petals when done.). Fasten off. Watch the video to see how it is attached to the rose.
