For the project you will need: crochet hook:  I used 4:00 mm crochet yarn: I used Bernat Baby Sport yarn needle scissors Abbreviations: ch - chain sc - single crochet sts - stitches st - stitch dc - double crochet sl st - slip stitch sk - skip dec 2 sc tog - decrease 2 single crochet together crab stitch - make a dc, work 3 dc around that dc post, holding all loops on hook (you should have 7 loops on hook) yarn over and pull through all loops.  See video for guidance. This hat should fit 0-6 month old baby Starting from band of hat: Row 1: Ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each st to end, ch 1, turn. Row 2: working in back looks of each ch, make a sc in each st to end, ch 1, turn. Rows 3 - 47: repeat Row 2 until your band is the length you require to fit the baby's head.  (I did 50 rows).
