Things you will need:

crochet yarn, of your choice
crochet hook
scissors
yarn needle

ABBREVIATIONS

ch - chain
dc - double crochet
sc - single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
fpsc - front post single crochet

Row 1: Ch 118, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in same st, sk 3 sts, sc in next st, ch 3, work 3 dc in same  space, , *sk 3 sts, Sc in next st, ch 3, work 3 dc in same space,* repeat from to end, sc in last st, ch 3, turn

Row 2: 2 dc in the sc from previous row, *fpsc around the 3rd dc of the 3 dc group, ch 3, 3 dc in the next ch 3 space, *repeat from, sc around the 3rd of the last 3 dc group. Ch 3 turn

Row 3: Repeat row 2 for length of project 

Edging

Don't break yarn, 

Row 1:3 sc in corner st, sc in each st around, sl st in beginning sc, 

Ch 1, sc in same st..  (NOTE on the edge with curves, sc in each of next 2 sts, sk 2 sts, sc in each of next 2 sts, repeat to end , sl st in beginning sc,

Row 2:Ch 1, 3 sc in same st, (corner), sc in each st around, repeat 

Rows 3 - 5: repeat row 2

Row 6: ch 1, sc in same stitch, sl st in next 2 sts, ch 3, sl st in next 2 sts, repeat and join with sl st to beginning ch 1. Tie off.
