ABBREVIATIONS
dc- double crochet
sc - single crochet
fpdc- front post double crochet
Shell- 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc (this is worked in each corner for the EDGING.
sl st - slip stitch
V Stitch - 1dc, ch 1, 1 dc in same stitch.
Begin with ch 92.
Row 1: dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next st, sk next st.v stitch in next st, sk next st, v st in next st, repeat from 40 more times, sk next st, 1 dc in each of the last 3 sts, (you should have 42 v stitches). Ch 3 turn
Row 2:1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, fpdc around the next dc, 1 dc in the ch 1 space, fpdc around the next dc, fpdc around the next dc, 1 dc in the ch 1 space, fpdc around the next dc, repeat from 40 times, 1 dc in each of the last 3 dc, ch 3, turn
Row 3:dc in next 2 dc, sk next dc, V stitch in next dc, sk next 2 dc, v st in next dc, repeat from 40 more times, sk next dc, 1 dc in each of the last 3 sts, (you should have 42 v stitches). Ch 3 turn
Row 4:1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, fpdc
around the next dc, 1 dc in the ch 1 space, fpdc around the next dc,
fpdc around the next dc, 1 dc in the ch 1 space, fpdc around the next
dc, repeat from 40 times, 1 dc in each of the last 3 dc, ch 3, turn
Repeat rows 3 and 4 for the project pattern . DO NOT BREAK YARN
EDGING
Row 1: Ch 1, sc in same st, 1 sc evenly spaced in each stitch around, join with sl st to beginning .
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, ch 1, 2 dc in same st (this is your first corner), 1 dc in each st across to next corner, in corner st, work 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in same st; repeat for next 2 corners, ending with sl st in beginning ch 3 of first corner.
Row 3: Ch 3, work a fpdc around next dc , 2 dc , ch 1, 2 dc in ch 1 space, fpdc around each dc to next corner, 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in ch 1 space, repeat all around, join with sl st to beginning ch 3.
Rows 4-6: repeat row 3
Row 7: make a crab stitch (sometimes called backwards single crochet) in each st all around, sl st in beginning st. Break yarn and sew in any loose ends.
