CROCHET 3D CROSS STITCH BABY BLANKET - BABY ESSENTIALS

Instructions:

Abbreviations:

ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
sk - skipp

Starting with Ch 95.

Row 1 - sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each st to end. Ch 3, turn

Row 2 - sk next st, dc in next 2 sts, dc in skipped stitch (3D cross stitch made), *dc in next st, sk next st, dc in next 2 sts, dc in skipped stitch, *repeat ending with a dc in last st. Ch 1, turn

Row 3 - sc in each st to end. Ch 3, turn

Row 4 -  sk next st, dc in next 2 sts, dc in skipped stitch (3D cross stitch made), *dc in next st, sk next st, dc in next 2 sts, dc in skipped stitch, *repeat ending with a dc in last st. Ch 1, turn


REPEAT ROWS 3 and 4 for the desired length of the project.  DON’T BREAK YARN

EDGING

FOR THE NEXT 10 Rows -

Evenly work 1 sc in each st all around the blanket, putting 3 sc in each corner st, ch 1 turn

LAST ROW

Sc in same ch 1 just made, sl st  in next st, ch 1, sl st in next st, ch 1, repeat to end.  FASTEN OFF (THIS MAKES A NICE EDGING)
