HALF HOUR CROCHET BABY BEANIE - FAST AND EASY -TUTORIAL

BABY BEANIE
 Fits 0-6 months (for small size use a smaller hook)

I used a 4:00 mm crochet hook

Yarn: of choice, I used medium 4 weight, Kinder yarn

ch 3 counts as a dc for this pattern


ch 60, join to form ring.

round 1 -ch 3, dc in next st, dc in every st to end, join with sl st to beginning ch 3.

round 2 - ch 3, fpdc around next dc from previous row, bpdc around next dc, fpdc around next dc, repeat to end, join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3.

round 3 - ch 3, fpdc around next front post dc from previous row, bpdc around next dc, fpdc around next dc, repeat to end, join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3.

round 4- repeat row 3

round 5 - ch 1, sc in same place, sc in next st, sc in every   st to end, join with sl st to first sc.

JOIN PINK YARN FOR ROUNDS 6-9
JOIN BLUE YARN FOR ROUNDS 10 - 12
JOIN GREEN YARN FOR ROUNDS 13 - 17

Round 18 - ch 1, sc in same place, sc in every st to end, joining with sl st to first sc (you should have 60 sts).

DECREASE ROUNDS

Round 19 - sc2tog, sc in each of next 10 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 10 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 10 sts, sc2tog,sc in next 10 sts, sc2tog, sc in each of the last 10 sts , sl st in the top of the first sc2tog. (55 sts)

Round 20 - sc2tog, sc in each of next 9 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 9 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 9 sts, sc2tog,sc in next 9 sts, sc2tog, sc in each of the last 9sts , sl st in the top of the first sc2tog. (50 sts).

Round 21 - sc2tog, sc in each of next 8 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 8 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 8 sts, sc2tog,sc in next 8 sts, sc2tog, sc in each of the last 8 sts , sl st in the top of the first sc2tog. (45 sts).  

Round 22 - sc2tog, sc in each of next 7 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 7 sts, sc2tog, sc in next 7 sts, sc2tog,sc in next 7 sts, sc2tog, sc in each of the last 7 sts , sl st in the top of the first sc2tog. (40 sts)


 CUT YOUR YARN LEAVING A LONG ENOUGH PIECE TO WEAVE THROUGH THE STITCHES TO CLOSE THE OPEN SPACE (WATCH VIDEO FOR GUIDANCE). WEAVE IN ALL LOOSE ENDS.
